In Memory of Joyce W. GrigsonThe Institute for Modern Psychoanalysis of Philadelphia (IMPP) is honored to establish the Joyce W. Grigson Endowment for Modern Psychoanalytic Instruction in memory of our beloved colleague and friend. Joyce was a cherished member of the third cohort of our institute—then known as the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis—and remained a vital part of our community throughout her life.
After graduating, Joyce became an instructor for the Human Maturation and Development course series, where she was known for her thoughtful presence and deep commitment to integrating modern psychoanalytic processes into the classroom experience. She also served as a dedicated member of the PSP Society and contributed her leadership and insight as a longtime Board member.
This fund will carry forward her legacy by supporting the recruitment and development of modern psychoanalytic instructors—ensuring that future generations of students benefit from the kind of rigorous, process-oriented teaching that Joyce so deeply valued.
